The Mali vs Canada will take place in the FIBA World Cup on September 27 at Sydney Olympic Park Sports Center. It has been an exciting competition thus far, and the FIBA Women’s World Cup has been rolling along at a terrific speed. Group B has witnessed more fierce confrontations, but Group A has been more predictable. While other teams still have much work to do, Mali’s elimination from the competition has been a pleasant surprise. Canada has already qualified. In an effort to save some prestige, they will now face Serbia here. In their last three games, Serbia has already dropped two of them, both against high-caliber opposition. In their most recent match, they suffered a loss against Australia, falling by the score of 54:69 despite a lackluster attacking performance.

Mali fell against France 59:74 despite having their best game of the tournament, despite Sika Kone’s stellar performance, which included 18 points and 18 rebounds. Serbia’s offensive has not been up to par. It is clear throughout the World Cup that they are a side that has lost some of its offensive oomph and is in reset mode. Only two players scored in double figures for them in their most recent game, while Sasa Cado’s 15 shots were below 30%. Despite having a good defense, the team’s offense has kept them back because shooting has been a major worry. Yvonne Anderson is only able to perform a certain amount of tasks. Although they are still outside of the safe zone, a victory here seems very plausible. Mali performed far better against France, but they still lost by 15 points despite losing their previous two games by 33 and 50 points, respectively. It should be acknowledged, though, that France’s offensive hasn’t looked spectacular either. There are defensive flaws, but Mali’s attacking problems are far more significant.
