India will take on New Zealand in the FIBA Asia Cup on July 13. The reigning winners of the championship are among the many teams in Group A of the FIBA Asia Cup 2022, in addition to the hosts. The group’s top team in Australia, which won the 2017 Asia Cup. The Boomers had a perfect record in Beirut and are probably anticipating a similar record here in Jakarta. It won’t be simply because they have a strong squad like Jordan waiting for them in the Group Phase. Jordan once advanced to the Asia Cup Final in 2011, and even then they have been a constant threat to do so. Saudi Arabia will also compete fiercely with the other teams. Although they haven’t been in the Asia Cup since 2013, and have only reached this level twice since 2000, they have emerged as one of the tournament’s most improved squads. The hosts, Indonesia, come in last but not least.

Timnas will not only get the chance to compete against the top teams in Asia and Oceania in front of their supporters, but if they can advance to the Quarter-Finals here, they will also be able to guarantee their place in the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Australia will have the most challenges as long as they are still the defending Asia Cup winners.
