Djokovic, who was sporting a white shirt and a pair of green-colored slacks, was the center of attention during the friendly basketball game. Slovene Luka Doncic scored 34 points on 11 of 20 attempts, making eight of his team’s eleven two-point attempts. For a total PIR of 33, he also grabbed six rebounds, dished out nine assists, and forced nine fouls.
Nikola Jokic of Serbia, who finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and 13 forced fouls for 31 PIR, was not far behind. During the game, Djokovic ran into Slovenia’s Luka Doncic, and the two mingled. As the crowd applauded for them, the couple hugged one another. Djokovic was spotted taking in the atmosphere as the game came down to the wire and even showed signs of tension at one point when his country’s squad lost the friendly encounter. The US Open, the final Grand Slam of the year, is still up in the air for the talented Serbian tennis player. The 21-Grand Slam champion has not had a COVID-19 vaccination and has made it clear that he has no intention of doing so either.
