France vs Portugal FIBA U-20 European Championship match will be held on July 20. The Georgian Basketball Federation announced on Tuesday that teams from 19 nations would compete in Division B of the FIBA Under 20 European Basketball Championship in Georgia starting this Friday. The national squads, divided into four groups, will battle in the group stage before the final match, which will be played on July 24, determines the winners of the playoffs. The Georgian national team, under the direction of head coach Milos Gligorijevic, has been assigned to Group B, along with Sweden, North Macedonia, Austria, and Kosovo.

Each group’s top two teams go to the playoffs, while the group’s overall champion, second- and third-placed clubs advance to Division A and compete against the best the following season. The Georgian Federation reported that Latvia was anticipated to go to Tbilisi with a “strong team,” however Serbia is widely regarded as the tournament favorite. The national organization stated in their anticipation that youth championships are “usually full of surprises.” The Olympic Palace and the brand-new Tbilisi Arena complex in the city’s center will both serve as venues for the events.
