Finland vs Czech Republic will take place at Prague Arena for a EuroBasket 2022 Group D match on September 6. In Group D competition for the 2022 EuroBasket in Prague, the Czech Republic, the Israel men’s national basketball team has a 2-0 record. They play Poland tomorrow morning at 8:00. With victories over the Czech Republic (99-84) and Finland (89-59), the Poles are 1-1 in Group play. Israel and Serbia may share the group’s top spot, but Washington Wizards forward Deni Avdija’s heroics were needed to defeat the Netherlands last night. For stories and gushing on social media, it was fantastic. Not as much, though, if the team’s shooting is inconsistent versus superior opposition.
Starting point guard AJ Slaughter, who played collegiate basketball at Western Kentucky from 2006 to 2010, is the player on Poland’s squad who is most well-known. Mateusz Ponitka, the forward for Reggio Emilia, has been the team’s top scorer thus far and will be Avdija’s challenge tomorrow afternoon. Israel should be prepared for the Round of 16 if they can pick up one more victory. They should still be able to do better than the group’s fourth seed, hopefully.
