Estonia vs Greece: EuroBasket 2022 Group C Live Stream, Schedule, Fixture, and Probable Lineups, September 8 2022

Estonia vs Greece will take place at Forum di Assago for a EuroBasket 2022 Group C match on September 8. Israel put up a fight and came within two points in the fourth quarter, but Serbia’s impressive 14-0 run put the game out of reach. Serbia maintained a perfect  4-0 record in Group D after she won 89-78  on Tuesday. Israel lost her 2-2 loss and faces an important match against the Czech Republic on Wednesday. The Guy Goodes-led team are still ahead of the hosts, but they should be aware that every point counts when his 3-2 draw with Finland is possible. 

Serbia was plagued by Israel’s match-up zone but still managed to hold the lead for most of the game. Their biggest lead was 18 points, but Deni Avdija decided to keep things interesting. With his goals, passing, and elite defense protecting everyone from Vasiljemicic to Nikolajokic, Israel had an exciting run to close the gap to 65-63 in the fourth quarter. It was just switching the Serbian machine to be faster. A fast run at 14:0 didn’t spur either Jokic nor Micic. Ognjen Jaramaz exploded with his 10 points, putting Serbia back to his double-digit lead and finally taking his fourth win in four tries.  Nikola Jokic had 29 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists on 11-of-13 shooting. His defense was also top-notch, with 4 steals and 2 blocks giving him an efficiency rating of 46, his best game to date and a new tournament best.

I could talk for hours about the Serbian offense, but it was an elite defensive game. Serbia forced 10 steals,  17 turnovers, and +11 on fast break points, which was more than enough to win this one. Serbia again finished in his double figures with Vasilje his Mičić with his 19 points and Nikola Kalinić with his 10 points. They did not play full force again,  as Nikola Miltinov has yet to play in Prague. Vanja Marinkovic again paid no attention, still recovering from stomach problems, while Dejan Davidovats missed the entire match. Israel was close to his 3-1 record, but should instead focus on the final day in Prague. A Finnish victory over the Netherlands would make everything clear, with Israel and the Czech Republic battling for the bottom of the Round of 16. If Finland loses, 2-3 three-way he can draw, and all points count.
