Bucketneers vs War Ready TBT game will be held on July 26. By establishing a squad throughout the summer, Team War Ready took the first step toward competing in The Basketball Tournament. War Ready achieved a new milestone this summer when it earned its first victory. With a late three-pointer from Danjel Purifoy, War Ready defeated Woco Showtime, a group of ex-Wofford Basketball players, 70-67 to claim their first victory of the 2022 TBT. The game’s “the Elam Ending” section is when Purifoy scored the game-winning bucket. The clock will be stopped and the sides will continue playing until a predetermined score is attained after the game reaches the four-minute mark of the final quarter, according to the rule.
The winning number in today’s game was 70. When the score was 67-67, Purifoy made the go-ahead basket to give War Ready its first-ever victory. Purifoy finished the game with 11 points, one point less than TJ Dunans, who had the most points. With three assists, Isaiah Williams led the squad, and Mustapha Heron grabbed six rebounds. The East Tennessee State alumni team Bucketneers will be War Ready’s opponent in their subsequent match in the round of 32 in the West Virginia tournament.
