The Saitama Seibu Lions will take on the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles at the Belluna Dome in another round of NPB action. Seibu has an overall season record of 47-42 and sits in second place in the Pacific League standings. They come into this game on the back of a 5-4 loss to the Chiba Lotte Marines. Takeya Nakamura had three RBI’s to his name while Hotaka Yamakawa had one in a game that saw Seibu lose by just one run. Tatsuya Imai had five strikeouts and only gave away four hits from the pitching staff.
On the other hand, Rakuten has an overall season record of 43-41 and sits in third place in the Pacific League standings. They come into this game on the back of a dismal 7-0 loss to SoftBank. Their offence was non-existent in the game as none of the batters were able to score a single run. Their pitching staff played well as Takayuki Kishi had six strikeouts and gave away seven hits as Rakuten got blown away by SoftBank.
