Former Rays and Twins minor league third baseman Leonardo Reginat was also a catalyst for Brazil, scoring in all four at-bats and driving in two. Left fielder Tim Lopez, who spent part of three seasons with the Rockies and Brewers, also had multiple hits and went 2-for-4. On the mound, Felipe Sales allowed three hits and knocked out six in 4 1/3 innings. The two teams had to wait for the rain to stop, and in the sixth inning, lighting problems occurred at Estadio Nacional Rod Carew, which lasted for about 10 minutes.
