Veteran of the retired WWE refutes Matt Hardy's assertions that they are no longer friends, claiming that AEW "damaged his brain.".
Lately, Matt Hardy has garnered considerable attention within the wrestling world due to his recent online disagreement with former WWE manager Jim Cornette and The Great Brian Last, his podcast co-host.
The two individuals recently exchanged criticisms on Twitter. An AEW star referred to the “toxic Cornette Cult” and urged fans to acknowledge The Elite’s accomplishments. Furthermore, Hardy accused Cornette of objecting to his and Chris Jericho’s participation in the stadium stampede match at AEW.
In the latest episode of his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette refuted those allegations and expressed strong disapproval towards Matt Hardy’s involvement in subpar wrestling.
“He’s just so wounded because he felt like that I said we can’t be friends anymore. I don’t want to be his friend anymore. I never said I didn’t want to be his friend anymore. He’s doing some sh**ty wrestling, and they damaged his brain, and I’m sorry that all those things are happening,” Cornette said. (2:06 onwards).
