Numerous WWE Superstars have faced trials at Wrestler’s Court, addressing alleged backstage mishaps. During its peak, JBL often assumed the role of prosecutor, while The Undertaker served as the court’s chief justice. Throughout their tenure in WWE, both Matt Hardy and his brother Jeff had their day in Wrestler’s Court. Matt openly discussed this experience on his podcast.
After winning the WWE Tag Team Titles, Michael Hayes generously purchased first-class tickets for a flight. In a recent episode of “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy,” the AEW star recalled that Matt and Jeff, feeling hesitant, initially declined the tickets to avoid offending any veterans.
However, later revelations exposed that Glenn “Kane” Jacobs, who owned the tickets, had deceived them. Consequently, the brothers found themselves obligated to appear in Wrestler’s Court for sentencing.
JBL informed everyone present at the court that he had said, “Hey guys, we understand that you didn’t intend to cause this mishap.” Ultimately, Michael holds the responsibility for assigning you to the first-class seat. In simpler terms, our focus is primarily on him. Just ensure your behavior is exemplary and make sure to give a fifth of the earnings to Jack Daniels’ manager.
The Hardys, however, faced charges of disrespecting Jacobs, as they believed themselves to be important individuals according to JBL’s testimony. He emphasized that if the Hardys could mistreat Jacobs in such a manner, they were capable of treating anyone else similarly.
Thankfully, the Undertaker graciously accepted Jack Daniels’ offer that day, feeling inclined towards forgiveness. In the end, Hayes took responsibility and was ordered to cover Jacobs’ lunch expenses for the upcoming month.
