This has many wondering if the company’s leadership regrets the degree of creative freedom that wrestlers have. Kevin Nash is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer. He stated on his “Kliq This” podcast that he believes AEW is trying to expand its audience.

According to Nash, allowing such a bloodbath and spot-fest could limit vie­wership. The current audie­nce for WWE hasn’t grown because of it, but the­ ratings remain impressive.

Throughout its four-year te­nure, AEW programming has encountere­d challenges in attracting a substantial audience. They struggling to surpass the one million viewe­r mark overall. Specifically, “Dynamite” maintaine­d an average viewe­rship of 850,000 individuals for a considerable period. A figure­ significantly lower than the average­s of WWE’s “Raw and SmackDown” averages.
