During his time in AEW, Cody Rhodes worked closely with a diverse group of individuals. This included collaborations with MJF, Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, and Red Velvet. However, out of all these partnerships, the one person he truly yearned to cooperate with again was Arn Anderson.
In an interview with “NotSam Wrestling,” Rhodes expressed his admiration for Arn by saying, “I love Arn and miss him.” Given the opportunity, Rhodes would go above and beyond to have Arn by his side once more.
Until 2019, Anderson carried out backstage duties for WWE. He aided in match production and worked closely with aspiring talent. However, his time with WWE came to an end when he was dismissed following an incident involving Alicia Fox competing while intoxicated at a live event.
This prompted him to join AEW. During Rhodes’ tenure at AEW, Anderson frequently partnered with him as a coach, providing various winning strategies. Rhodes likened Anderson’s business acumen to that of esteemed filmmakers like Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese. Behind the scenes, Anderson also brought a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Arn is truly missed. It’s believed that things could have turned out differently had Arn been present at WrestleMania. His astute understanding of the crowd’s psychology made him a valuable asset, yet not enough people sought his insight. He exuded a positive influence whenever he was around. While it’s not necessary to make changes, it would be wise to heed his thoughts.
