The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Jamie Hayter, the former AEW Women’s Champion, will not be able to compete at AEW All In on August 27 due to a delayed medical clearance. According to Fightful Select, Hayter’s unexpected return to professional wrestling this year is unlikely, as confirmed by their report which also included additional unfortunate news.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s latest issue provides a tentative timeline for Hayter’s return. It suggests that he might step back into the ring in February 2024 after recovering from multiple injuries. Before his title match against Toni Storm at Double or Nothing, Tony Khan revealed that Hayter would be unable to participate in a scheduled trios match with The Outcasts (Saraya, Storm, and Ruby Soho).

This decision came after Storm forcefully drove Hayter’s shoulder into steel stairs at ringside. As a result of this impactful move, Hayter was later seen wearing an arm sling during a backstage promo alongside her ally, Britt Baker.

Despite her absence from wrestling for over five weeks.

On May 28th at Double or Nothing, Hayter was permitted to defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Storm.Despite her efforts, the damage had already been inflicted, and she was swiftly defeated. As a consequence, Storm emerged as the new champion, and AEW subsequently removed Hayter from their programming.
