One of the scheduled matches featured Darby Allin and Sting against Swerve Strickland and AR Fox.
At Wembley Stadium, AEW hosted a massive professional wrestling event called All In. One of the scheduled matches featured Darby Allin and Sting against Swerve Strickland and AR Fox. However, the match had some changes just after the start of the event.
Darby Allin and Nick Wayne defeated Swerve Strickland and AR Fox in a tag team match on the Dynamite go-home show before the All In pay-per-view. Fox was pinned, leading to Swerve blaming him for the loss and expelling him from the Mogul Embassy. As a result, Christian Cage replaced Fox for the match at Wembley Stadium.
According to Fightful Select, it was not originally planned for Christian Cage to replace AR Fox in AEW’s biggest pay-per-view. The report suggests that Fox faced pressure backstage, which ultimately led to the change.
“AR Fox being pulled from Mogul Embassy and All In was not always the plan. Whatever the reason may be there is some reported heat on Fox for not being able to work the show,” Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports.
Finally, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne made an unexpected interference during the coffin match between Darby Allin and Sting, causing a disruption in the anticipated outcome.
Allin and Sting both slammed the door shut as the game came to an end, dropping Strickland into the coffin.
