During the July 26 episode, he will defend his title against AR Fox, a former Evolve Champion.
Orange Cassidy’s AEW International Championship reign will face another test the following week on Dynamite. During the July 26 episode, he will defend his title against AR Fox, a former Evolve Champion.
During a backstage interview segment on the most recent episode of Dynamite, Best Friends and Darby Allin announced the match. Darby Allin, speaking to Cassidy, mentioned that he had a favor to ask for an old friend.
Allin conveyed to Cassidy that Fox played a crucial role in his journey to All Elite Wrestling and expressed his desire to show gratitude towards Fox. This favor seemed to manifest in the form of Cassidy granting him a title match, an opportunity that the champion readily embraced without any hesitation.
Orange Cassidy’s ongoing reign as the AEW International Champion is set to reach a remarkable milestone next week when he defends his title for an unprecedented 27th time. During last week’s Battle of the Belts show, Cassidy achieved another successful defense by defeating Lance Archer via count-out.
Cassidy has held the champion title since October 2022, and he is nearing the significant milestone of 300 days in that role. For his second AEW career title match, AR Fox will be his next opponent.
