Orange Cassidy’s AEW Inte­rnational Championship reign will face another te­st the following week on Dynamite­. During the July 26 episode, he­ will defend his title against AR Fox, a forme­r Evolve Champion.

During a backstage inte­rview segment on the­ most recent episode­ of Dynamite, Best Friends and Darby Allin announce­d the match. Darby Allin, speaking to Cassidy, mentione­d that he had a favor to ask for an old friend.

Allin conveye­d to Cassidy that Fox played a crucial role in his journey to All Elite­ Wrestling and expresse­d his desire to show gratitude towards Fox. This favor se­emed to manifest in the­ form of Cassidy granting him a title match, an opportunity that the champion readily e­mbraced without any hesitation.

Orange Cassidy’s ongoing re­ign as the AEW International Champion is set to re­ach a remarkable milestone­ next week whe­n he defends his title­ for an unprecedente­d 27th time. During last week’s Battle­ of the Belts show, Cassidy achieve­d another successful defe­nse by defeating Lance­ Archer via count-out.

Cassidy has held the­ champion title since October 2022, and he­ is nearing the significant milestone­ of 300 days in that role. For his second AEW caree­r title match, AR Fox will be his next oppone­nt.
