Chelsea Anne Cardona was born on April 4, 1991. She is a Canadian professional wrestler, stuntwoman, and model. Green is currently signed to WWE, where she performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Chelsea Green. She is one-half of the current WWE Women's Tag Team Champion with Piper Niven in their first reign. She is mostly known for her time in Impact Wrestling, where she is a former Impact Knockouts Champion and Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Champion. She is the fourth woman to hold the WWE and Impact Women's Tag Team Championships after Zelina Vega and The IIconics (Billie Kay, and Peyton Royce).

Independent Circuit (2014–2018)

Chelsea Green, initially known as Jaida, began her wrestling journey on the independent circuit. She showcased her skills in promotions like Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) and embarked on a successful Women’s title tournament journey, ultimately solidifying her presence in the wrestling world.

 

World Wonder Ring Stardom (2016)

Green’s career took an international turn when she toured Japan with World Wonder Ring Stardom (WWRS). Despite facing challenges like a broken collarbone, she teamed up with Santana Garrett and even challenged Wonder of Stardom Champion Kairi Hojo during her stint in Japan.

Queens of Combat Tag Team Champion (2017)

In a significant achievement, Chelsea Green, as Laurel Van Ness, became one-half of the inaugural Queens of Combat Tag Team Champions, partnering with Taeler Hendrix. Their journey to the championship showcased her tenacity and determination.

All In (2018)

Green made a historic appearance on the All In pay-per-view, participating in a four-corner survival match, marking her presence in the first independent wrestling event in the U.S. to draw a live attendance of over 10,000 fans.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling / Impact Wrestling (2016–2018)

Transitioning to Impact Wrestling, Green adopted the ring name Laurel Van Ness. Her captivating storyline included an on-screen relationship with Braxton Sutter and a memorable chaotic gimmick with a disheveled appearance. She ultimately won the Impact Knockouts Championship before leaving the company.

WWE (2018–2021)

Chelsea Green’s WWE journey began with her involvement in a storyline featuring Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon. She later participated in Tough Enough, finishing fourth among female contestants. Green was signed by WWE in 2018 and made her NXT debut, but her progress was interrupted by a broken wrist. She briefly appeared on Raw and later returned to NXT with manager Robert Stone.

Despite plans to move to Raw, her call-up was canceled following a change in leadership. However, she eventually made her SmackDown debut and participated in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. After her release in 2021, she returned to WWE in 2023 as a member of the Raw brand and adopted a ‘Karen’ gimmick.

Ring of Honor (2021)

Green made a surprising debut at Ring of Honor (ROH)’s Best in the World event and was initially scheduled to participate in the ROH Women’s World Championship tournament before an injury sidelined her.

Return to Impact Wrestling (2021–2022)

Green returned to Impact Wrestling alongside real-life fiancé Matt Cardona, initially wrestling under her real name. She participated in the Knockouts Ultimate X match and was involved in various storylines during her return to the company.

Return to WWE (2023–present)

In a surprising turn of events, Chelsea Green made her return to WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble, joining the Raw brand. She formed a tag team with Sonya Deville, won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and continued her career in WWE. Chelsea Green’s wrestling journey has been marked by her resilience, versatility, and ability to leave an impact in every promotion she has been a part of.
