The National Wrestling Championship 2022 got underway on December 21 and will continue till December 23, 2022, at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) will use the event to choose wrestlers for the National camp leading up to the Asian Championships in March of next year. Elite Indian wrestlers including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Deepak Punia and Sakshi Malik won’t be a part of the championships. In the absence of seasoned wrestlers, the young guns will try to make an impression on the selectors.
