Deiveson Alcântara Figueiredo was born on December 18, 1987. He is a Brazilian professional MMA fighter. He presently fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight division, where he is a two-time UFC Flyweight Champion. He is currently ranked first in the UFC flyweight rankings as of February 14, 2023.

Figueiredo made his UFC debut in 212, defeating Marco Beltran by TKO (corner stoppage). He would go on to win against Jarred Brooks, Joseph Morales, and John Mor.

Deiveson’s unblemished record would be ruined at UFC Fight Night 148 when he was defeated by Jussier Formiga via unanimous decision. In 2019, he defeated Alexandre Pantoja to earn a title opportunity against Joseph Benavidez for the Vacant UFC Flyweight Title.

Figueiredo defeated Benavidez at UFC Fight Night 169, however, he did not win the title since he dropped 2.5 pounds. Deiveson would face Benavidez again for the vacant Flyweight championship at UFC Fight Night 172. Deiveson would win again and become the UFC Flyweight Title.

In UFC 255, Figueiredo made his first defense against Alex Perz. He would win the bout through a rear-naked choke in the first round. Figueiredo faced Brandon Moreno at UFC 256 21 days later, and the fight ended in a majority decision. Deiveson would appear in their rematch, revealing their rematch, and lose his championship after two defenses.

Deiveson Figueiredo reclaimed his championship from Brandon Moreno at UFC 270 on January 22, 2022. The tetralogy fight between Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno took place at UFC 283 on January 21, 2023. He lost the fight and the championship through technical knockout before the fourth round when the ringside doctor called a halt to the fight owing to Figueiredo’s eye swelling shut.
