Background

During his professional combat sports career, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Hradec Králové in 2015. He had to combine training with his employment to earn a living and prepare for fights in addition to his education. Following in his father’s footsteps, he worked as a construction engineer in highway construction for three years and as a gravedigger for five years. His nickname “Undertaker” reflects his background as a gravedigger.

He likes recreational shooting, chess, gardening, and animals in his leisure time. Having lived up on a farm surrounded by farm animals, he has had a great relationship with the latter from boyhood. He currently has a Sphynx domestic cat as a pet. Prior to combat sports, he was a competitive chess player, competing in the junior chess league until the age of seventeen.

Early Career

He began MMA in 2009 at the Valetudo club in Hradec Králové. In 2010, he fought his first professional bout at the age of 18, losing on points to Filip Mack. Dvorak would go on to have a 17-3 record in different Czech regional promotions. He now trains at TopAtlet and All Sports Academy. Patrik Kincl, Jan Marálek, and Luká Chotnovsk are his primary coaches. Apart from domestic clubs, he has also garnered international experience. He’s been to training camps in London, Poland, and Thailand, where he trained for six months with clubs including Team Quest, Phuket Top Team, and Tiger Muay Thai.

XFN debut

Dvorak made his XFN debut on October 21, 2017, at XFN 5, when he was scheduled to meet Miroslav Kubá. He won the bout through a technical knockout in the second round. Dvorak appeared three more times with XFN. Dvorak first faced Marco Manovali on March 3, 2018 at XFN 8. He won the bout through a technical knockout in the first round. On November 10, 2018, Dvoák faced Salambek Damaev at XFN 13. He won the battle by submission in the second round. On July 27, 2019, Dvorak faced Arsen Taigibov at Oktagon 13. He won the battle by submission in the second round.

Signing with UFC

He inked a deal with the UFC in 2020, making him the fourth Czech to do so. He accepted the offer with only five weeks to go until the UFC Fight Night: Lee vs. Oliveira event in Brazil on March 14, 2020, when he would replace opponent Su Mudaerji. He faced Bruno Gustavo da Silva in his first fight, which he won on points after three rounds.

On September 19, 2020, at the UFC bout Night: Covington vs. Woodley event in Las Vegas, he faced Jordan Espinosa, who was rated 13th in the flyweight rankings prior to the bout. Dvoák won a unanimous decision against his higher-ranked opponent on points, extending his unbeaten record to 15 fights.

Dvorak was supposed to fight Raulian Paiva at UFC Fight Night: Font vs. Garbrandt on May 22, 2021. Paiva, however, backed out of the fight the day before the event owing to health issues connected to his weight loss. Juancamilo Ronderos, a promotional novice, took his spot. Ronderos weighed in at 128.5 pounds, which was two and a half pounds over the division’s non-title bout limit. The fight was held at catchweight, and he was fined 20% of his pay, which was given to Dvorak. Dvorak won the bout in the first round with a rear-naked choke submission.

Dvorak challenged Matheus Nicolau at UFC on ESPN 33 on March 26, 2022. He was defeated by a unanimous decision. Dvorak  fought Manel Kape at UFC Fight Night 216 on December 17, 2022. He was defeated by a unanimous decision. Dvorak will meet Matt Schnell at UFC 289 on June 10, 2023.
