Jorge Masvidal has fans on the edge of their seats as he hints at a potential UFC comeback and a desire to take on Conor McGregor. In a candid interview with “TMZ Sports,” the 38-year-old MMA legend expressed his eagerness to settle the score with McGregor, even suggesting a street fight rather than the Octagon. The BMF title is back in the spotlight!

“I think I’m going to have to come back and snatch that belt up real quick. Something like that. But not at [155 lbs.], they gotta come up to [170 lbs.],” Masvidal said. “A UFC fight. Not now, but at some point, I think I gotta come back.”

Jorge Masvidal the OG BMF belt holder

Jorge Masvidal earned the OG BMF belt by defeating Nate Diaz at UFC 244, a victory that made him the rightful holder of the coveted title. The Rock himself had the honor of presenting the belt to Masvidal, adding an extra touch of star power to the iconic moment.

During the past weekend, Jorge Masvidal, who had previously retired after his bout with Gilbert Burns in April, made a special appearance in Salt Lake City. He took the opportunity to present the BMF belt to Justin Gaethje in recognition of his victory over Dustin Poirier.

“Whoever’s got the BMF belt,” Masvidal said … and that’s when McGregor came up. “Really I would like to fight Conor because he’s such a bitch. I can’t stand that dude. But him on the street for free, ’cause he’ll never fight me in the ring.”

“He never mentions my f***ing name in a comment,” Jorge said, adding … “[Conor’s] calling out Dustin and Justin. Shut the f*** up, and do the due process. You f***ing bitch!”

Jorge Masvidal started fighting on the streets

For Masvidal fans, it’s a well-known fact that his fighting journey began on the streets, even before his time in organizations like Strikeforce, Bellator, or the UFC. He made a name for himself alongside the legendary Kimbo Slice in those raw street fights.

“Conor doesn’t want [a fight with me]. He’s shut it down like 3 or 4 times and he’s told people that I’m too big for him, yet he’s at my weight class, 170,” Masvidal said.

Despite taking a break from official fights, Jorge has kept himself occupied with various ventures. He recently founded his own fight promotion called Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA, where he’s been busy arranging exciting matchups with renowned combat sports icons.
