At UFC Fight Night: Swanson vs. Ortega on December 9, 2017, Dvalishvili made his UFC debut against Frankie Saenz. He was defeated in a split decision. On April 21, 2018, at UFC Fight Night, he faced Ricky Simón in a Barboza vs. Lee matchup. In the final ring, he was defeated through technical submission. Dvalishvili won the next 5 fights via a unanimous decision destroying his opponents. Cody Stamann and Dvalishvili were scheduled to square off on December 5, 2020, during UFC on ESPN 19. On October 22, it was revealed that Stamann had withdrawn for an unspecified cause, and Raoni Barcelos had taken his place. Due to a medical suspension resulting from his most recent fight on November 7, Barcelos was forced to withdraw from the competition. The match between Dvalishvili and Stamann was moved to February 6, 2021, as part of UFC Fight Night 184. A COVID-19 problem led Dvalishvili to withdraw from the fight in the middle of January, and Andre Ewell was brought in to fill the void.

Beating Jose Aldo

Ewell was replaced by promotional newcomer Askar Askar when a COVID-19 test came back positive, and the fight was scheduled to take place at featherweight. Askar was not medically fit on the day of the event, therefore the fight was called off. Dvalishvili vs. Stamann’s fight was once more moved to May 1, 2021, at Reyes vs. Procházka at UFC on ESPN. Dvalishvili prevailed by a unanimous decision in the fight.

On September 25, 2021, Dvalishvili competed against Marlon Moraes at UFC 266.
