Husso’s hockey journey kicked off in the youth setup at HIFK in Helsinki. It wasn’t long before he made his debut with the club’s men’s team during the 2013–14 Liiga season showcasing his raw talent and potential. Husso’s incredible journey continued when he was traded to the Detroit Red Wings on July 8, 2022, at the NHL Entry Draft. The Red Wings wasted no time in recognizing his potential signing him to a lucrative three-year, $14.25 million contract. His regular season debut with Detroit on October 14, 2022, was nothing short of spectacular as he made 29 saves and secured a shutout in a commanding 3–0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
