St. Louis Blues will take on the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL on November 21 at Enterprise Center. On paper, the St. Louis Blues was the clear favorite to win going into their 17th game of the season. The Anaheim Ducks had the fewest victories in the league, but they had a five-game winning run under their belt. However, you can never predict how they will turn out. It only takes one bad night or a bad start. In the early stages of the game, the Blues were adamant about preventing it from happening. They were quick to react and start their offensive. We learned the reason why Anaheim allows the most shots in the league.
St. Louis has had trouble getting shots on goal in the opening minutes of games, but they had the first six shots of the contest and reached double digits just over halfway through. The first goal was likewise scored by the Blues. About 13 minutes into the game, Justin Faulk’s shot was deflected by Noel Acciari after an Ivan Barbashev hit caused the puck to get loose. This gave the team a 1-0 lead. The Blues also improved their physicality. The bottom two lines were taking a lot of body damage following the Barbashev hit when Acciari joined in and blew out a Ducks player.

The Blues played well to end the session. To give his team a 2-0 lead, Robert Thomas executed an incredible through-the-traffic ball to Pavel Buchnevich. The second was launched by St. Louis equally effectively. Buchnevich scored his second goal of the game just over a minute in, making it 3-0. That state didn’t last very long. With only 15 minutes remaining, the Blues appeared to be playing too loosely defensively, but a swift change of possession resulted in a Brayden Schenn goal that was deflected in.
