The Pittsburgh Penguins will welcome the Calgary Flames to the PPG Paints Arena for an NHL game on Wednesday. Pittsburgh defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3 in their last game. Goals from Sidney Crosby, Rickard Rakell, Jeff Carter, Evgeni Malkin and Brock McGinn scored the goals as the Penguins registered their ninth win of the season.
Evgeni Malkin scored a goal in his 1000th game and he spoke about that achievement after the game. Malkin said, “A little bit hard for me. A new experience. I’m glad we won. I would like to say thank you to Sid.”
The Calgary Flames on the other hand defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 5-2. Blake Coleman, Rasmus Andersson, Dillon Dube, Jonathan Huberdeau and Trevor Lewis all scored goals for the Flames as they won their ninth game of the season and solidified fourth place in the western conference pacific division. Jonathan Huberdeau spoke after the game and said, “It was nice to get that one for sure. We battled. Another good win for us.”
