The game Pittsburgh Penguins vs Buffalo Sabres will take place at PPG Paints Arena (Pittsburgh) on Saturday, December 10 at 7:00 PM ET.
After the Pittsburgh Penguins won the first game 4-3, the Buffalo Sabres play the Penguins in the second game in a back-to-back between the two clubs. The Sabres are close to the bottom of the Atlantic Division with a record of 12-14-1. With eight victories in their previous ten games, the Penguins, who have a record of 15-8-4, have moved up near the top of the Metropolitan Division. The upcoming game appears to be a nice one because both clubs want to advance in the Eastern Conference.
This season, the Sabres have shown potential thanks to an outstanding offence that is averaging 4.00 goals per game. To lead the top line, Tage Thompson and Jeff Skinner have a combined 33 goals and 38 assists, but this season’s attack as a whole has looked fantastic. Defensemen Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power have added nine goals and 33 assists from the point to help open up the attack, and forwards Alex Tuch, Dylan Cozens, and Jack Quinn have combined for 29 goals and 41 assists.
With the offence rising up and averaging 3.54 goals per game with 14 goals in their previous three games, the Penguins have turned the corner on their season. The top two lines, Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel, and Evgeni Malkin, have combined for 35 goals and 51 assists, but the whole attack has been excellent. The offensive is difficult to stop because of the combined 23 goals and 27 assists from Jason Zucker, Bryan Rust, and Rickard Rakell, as well as the 15 goals and 29 assists from Jeff Carter, Brock McGinn, and Kasperi Kapanen on the back end of the front line.
