The game between the Ottawa Senators and Minnesota Wild will take place at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Canada on Thursday, October 27 at 7:00 PM ET.
The Ottawa Senators will welcome the Minnesota Wild to the Canadian Tire Centre for an NHL game on Thursday. Ottawa won their last game against the Dallas Stars 4-2 with goals from Thomas Chabot, Brady Tkachuk, Derick Brassard and Shane Pinto. Alex DeBrincat had 7 shots on goal but he was not able to get past Scott Wedgewood in the Dallas goal.
Senators goaltender Magnus Hellberg saved 29 of the 31 shots he faced and finished the game with a save percentage of .935. He said after the game, “I’ve been waiting to get a start for a couple of weeks now, so obviously it was nice to finally be in net. I have that inner drive to play at the best level and I feel that I can play in this league as a full-time job. Obviously I’m really happy that it worked out this summer and that I’m able to play in this league.”
The Minnesota Wild on the other hand recorded a 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens in their last game. Joel Eriksson Ek scored twice while Brandon Duhaime added another as Minnesota took the game with ease.
After the game, goalscorer Brandon Duhaime spoke and said, “For me personally, I’m just trying to take it as another game and not getting too high, too low and nothing like that. But for them it’s obviously really special to come in there. Hometown and, you know, get a big team win like we did.”
