The Edmonton Oilers will welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to Rogers Place for an NHL game on Monday. Edmonton lost their last game 2-0 against the St Louis Blues. Evan Bouchard, Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman etc had three shots each but were not able to breach Jordan Binnington in the Blues goal, who was inspired form.

After the game, Leon Draisaitl said, “They are a good team, that’s a playoff team. They have won before, they know how to play a tight-checking game. So did we, I thought, for the most part. But we were a little sloppy in some areas. We didn’t have much going offensively tonight.”

The Pittsburgh Penguins on the other hand remain top of the Eastern Conference Metropolitan Division by recording their fourth win of the season as they defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-3. Danton Heinen scored two goals with Sidney Crosby, Jan Rutta, Josh Archibald and Brock McGinn adding one goal each as the Penguins ran out comfortable winners.

Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan said after the game, “We weren’t prepared to play in the first period, and we got totally outplayed by Columbus. I give our players a lot of credit. I thought we responded well after that.”
