The match between the Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres will take place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada on Tuesday, October 18 at 9:00 PM ET.
The Edmonton Oilers will welcome the Buffalo Sabres to Rogers Place for an NHL game on Tuesday. Edmonton lost their last game 4-3 to the Calgary Flames on Sunday. Goals from Cody Ceci, Connor McDavid and Ryan McLeod were not enough as the Oilers lost the game by one goal.
Leon Draisaitl of the Oilers spoke after the game and said, “We had a couple of whacks at the end, we were hoping one of those squeaks through. It wasn’t meant to be. Just individual and system mistakes, they’re little mistakes that are easy to clean up. We can’t spot a team three goals in back-to-back nights. That’s something we have to address, obviously.”
The Buffalo Sabres on the other hand also lost their last game 4-3 to the Florida Panthers. Rasmus Dahlin, Alex Tuch and Zemgus Girgensons scored the goals for Sabres in a losing effort as Matthew Tkachuk starred for the Panthers.
Alex Tuch was full of praise for Tkachuk and said after the game, “That’s the type of hockey he’s going to play. I knew it. It’s something that he wants to bring to the table and I’d say a lot of us don’t really want to give him the time of day. But sometimes, you have to stick up for your teammates.”
