It’s been tough for the Blues lately losing one game after another three in total. Their 32-29-3 record lands them squarely in fifth place within their division the Central. Things are rougher when they have the puck they average merely 2.75 goals each game. A smattering of hope comes from Robert Thomas, Pavel Buchnevich and Jordan Kyrou’s scoring, but the rest are inconsistent at best. When they’re on defence the situation isn’t much better. The average goal count against them is disappointing 3.09 per game. Jordan Binnington’s a shining light amidst this defending the goal with commendable grit. Yet, the rest of the defense team struggles to fend off their opponents’ scoring efforts.
The Bruins have a strong 38-13-15 record. Recently, they’ve won two games in a row. They’ve been performing well scoring a lot and not letting their opponents score. The Bruins’ offense is strong. They score on average 3.32 goals each game. Big players like David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle have been doing great. Other players have been helping too. On defense the Bruins have been great. They only let their opponents score 2.67 goals each game. The defense team with Hampus Lindholm and Brandon Carlo is doing a good job at stopping the other team from scoring. Goalie Jeremy Swayman is great too. His stats prove it: he has a .922 save percentage and a 2.45 goals-against average.
