The game between the Boston Bruins vs Anaheim Ducks will take place at the TD Garden (Boston) on Wednesday, October 20 at 7:00 PM ET.
As part of an early East coast tour, the Anaheim Ducks visit Boston to face the Bruins. The Ducks have a poor record of only 1-3 overall and 0-3 on their road trip. In contrast, the Bruins have had a strong start, winning three of their first four games. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. EST. The Anaheim Ducks have had a sluggish start to the current campaign and are currently on a three-game losing streak as they travel to Boston. The Ducks’ brief tour of the greater New York region was less than productive as they lost three straight games to the Islanders, Rangers, and then Devils.
The Ducks took an early 2-0 lead in New Jersey but New Jersey knotted it with two goals in the second period. 33 seconds into the third period, New Jersey scored, and they added an empty-net goal to secure a 4-2 victory. Jakob Silfverberg, a forward for Anaheim, helped the team to victory by scoring both of the club’s goals in the opening frame. Anthony Stolarz, the goalie, blocked 20 of the 24 shots he faced.
The Boston Bruins lost to the Ottawa Senators 7-5 on the road on Tuesday night, their first setback of the season following three straight victories. The Bruins’ first back-to-back contest of the year included the most goals they had ever given up. Boston trailed 6-5 going into the third after conceding three more Senators goals, despite scoring four goals in the third period. Boston was down 3-1 after the first period.
The Bruins lost for the first time this season because they were unable to score the tying goal. Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak both had a goal and two assists as they maintained their strong beginnings to the season. Additionally, goals were scored by AJ Greer, Nick Foligno, and David Krejci. In the defeat, goalie Jeremy Swayman stopped 26 shots.
