For the Coyotes, it was their sixth straight defeat. The goals were scored by Jack McBain and Shayne Gostisbehere for a Coyote team that appeared to be eager for this trip to be over.
The Boston Bruins left on a three-game road trip on Wednesday night. After defeating the Avalanche 4-0, they will now play Arizona, which has just 18 points overall. The Bruins won 4-0 on Wednesday night by taking full advantage of a Colorado team that was injured. With two goals and one assist, Taylor Hall continued his stellar season by taking the lead. Trent Frederic and David Pastrnak each scored one goal in the victory. By winning the two games by a collective score of 9-1, the Bruins finished the season sweep of the Avalanche. Linus Ullmark of the Boston Bruins stopped 23 shots to earn the victory and record his second shutout of the year.
