Maxi Kleber’s 3-point buzzer-beater took Mavs past the Lakers

Anthony Davis of the Lakers had 26 points and 10 rebounds but missed one of two free throws with 6.7 seconds remaining. Irving then found Maxi Kleber, who scored to give the Mavericks a 111-110 win. Irving was returning from a knee injury. The Mavericks are now sixth in the Western Conference, while the Lakers are tenth. That also means that the Mavericks have won the season series 3-1.

With a crosscourt pass from Kyrie Irving, Maxi Kleber nailed the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in the Dallas Mavericks’ 111-110 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night. With Luka Doncic out, Kleber performed a stunning impersonation of the injured superstar, who has regularly defeated the Lakers with huge shots over the years.

Kyrie Irving is working on improving his on-court efficiency after making a strong comeback for the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. Irving had missed the Mavericks’ previous three games due to right foot discomfort, with the club winning only one of those games. Yet his value to the Mavericks was obvious when he returned to the floor for the 111-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 38 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out six assists.
