In a 147-106 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, which was the second game of a back-to-back, Jordan Poole scored 21 points and Corey Kispert added 20 for Washington. It’s worth noting that both players came off the bench.

Key matchups

Cleveland is aiming to get back on track as they lead a group of teams trying to catch up to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers lost their second game in a row after the All-Star break on Friday, falling 104-97 to the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers took a narrow lead early in the third quarter and maintained it for the rest of the game against the Cavaliers, who were playing without Donovan Mitchell for the second consecutive game due to illness.

Cleveland managed to get within three points towards the end, but Tyrese Maxey’s four free throws secured the win for the 76ers. Jarrett Allen led Cleveland with 24 points, shooting 10-of-16 from the field, and also grabbed nine rebounds and blocked a shot. Darius Garland scored 20 points and dished out a game-high nine assists, while also contributing five rebounds and two steals. Max Strus chipped in with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

Cleveland’s six-game winning streak on the road came to an end, and they’ve lost three of their last four games overall. However, they had a strong run in January and early February, winning 17 out of 18 games.
