The Utah Jazz recorded a 23 point win as they beat the Los Angeles Lakers 139-116 in the NBA on Monday night. Lauri Markkanen top scored for the Jazz but the star of the show was Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson dropped 22 points and recorded 4 rebounds and 4 assists. He was also 5 of 6 beyond the arc and finished the game with a three point percentage of 83.4. The Jazz are now 5-0 at the Vivint Arena.

Clarkson was instrumental as the Utah Jazz once again dropped more than 130 points on the Lakers in the span of four days. After the game Clarkson was asked about how he felt during the game and he said, “It’s just fun. We are moving the ball like you said. It was great to come home and get a win and now we back on the road. Like I said, it’s always fun when the ball is popping and we are making shots. It’s just a great vibe and a great energy.”

Clarkson was doing everything during the game from shot making to play making and for that, he praised coach Will Hardy. “It’s the style of play. I am really buying into what the coach is teaching us from day 1 in training camp. We continue to move the ball. We get open shots and open looks. Lauri is playing great, everybody has a great vibe. I think it’s all flowing really well and we have to keep playing the same style of basketball and keep the vibe going.”

He continued, “Just fight everyday ever since training camp. We all competed like we got a chip on our shoulders since training camp, since practice. Competing against each other, competing against anything they say outside, the media, we play like we have a chip on our shoulders and that is all.”

Los Angeles Lakers struggle on the road

Things just don’t seem to be going well for the Los Angeles Lakers at the minute. The Lakers are 2-8 this season and are yet to win on the road with 4 losses. Anthony Davis top scored for LA with 29 points while Russell Westbrook came off the bench to add 22 points and dish out 5 assists. Kendrick Nunn dropped 18 and was only the third Lakers player to score in double digits as they missed LeBron James severely as he did not feature in the game at all.

Twitter went crazy as the Jazz took first place in the Western Conference standings and in this article, we have picked out some of the best fan reactions.
