There are some legends who will always be special and will always have a different place in the heart just for them. So, here are 2 players who took the game of basketball to a all new level. Their love and creativity with some trash talking it made these 2 NBA legends the star they are today. They are Larry Bird and Michael Jordan. Both were absolutely the powerhouses and helped their team win many NBA championships all throughout their career.

Chicago Bulls‘s player Michael Jordan and Boston Celtics’s Larry Bird are highly compared with each other. Though many may have doubts but definitely Michael Jordan made a legacy of his own with his own will.

Bird was a great shooter throughout his career, consistently winning three-point competitions and was as deadly with his off-hand. While Bird was well-known for his scoring ability, he was also well-known for his trash-talking. It’s impossible to find a player to whom he didn’t speak ill of, which is why his remarks about Jordan is a shock to hear.

Bird’s thought on Michael Jordan

On the most recent edition of the Icons Club podcast, which focused about the Magic Johnson-Bird rivalry, Larry Legend’s comments on Jordan and how they were handled were mentioned. Following Michael Jordan’s 63-point performance against the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of the 1986 Eastern Conference first-round contest, the Hick from French Lick stated that it was “God disguised as Michael Jordan.”

Despite the fact that the Celtics swept the Bulls in that series, Bird was taken aback by Jordan’s performance. In response to Bird’s remarks, he stated

“When Bird gave me that comment, you know that was the biggest comment I’ve ever received in my life. And that was the type of respect that he gave me but we never really, I never really called him or embraced. It was that type of respect that, you know, I didn’t have to talk to him. I want to maintain that competitive edge we had against each other.”

Receiving accolades from Bird is a significant deal, and it goes a long way toward demonstrating how much Jordan’s talent was appreciated. Jordan also praised Bird, describing him as the game’s best smack talker and a tactical while also praising his work ethic.

They both are the best but when compared to the “GOAT” Micahael Jordan then definitely The “GOAT” wins in a long shot. But when compared Larry Bird’s shooting skills, then definitely Larry wins their as Jordan may be the best in game but he wasn’t a great shooter as Larry Bird.
