CAVALIERS STRUGGLING WITH INJURIES

Per the Cavaliers’ statement:

“Cavaliers guard Rajon Rondo will be out approximately two weeks with a right great toe sprain. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter at Detroit last night. An MRI administered today at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health confirmed the injury Rondo will undergo a period of treatment and rehabilitation and his return to play will be updated as appropriate.”

This is just the latest injury for a Cavs team that returned from the All-Star break with a slew of sidelined players. All-Star guard Darius Garland missed Thursday night’s game due to lower back soreness, and according to guard Brandon Goodwin, the Cavaliers don’t how know long Garland will be out. Caris LeVert, who the team acquired ahead of the trade deadline, is also injured with a sprained right foot. And now Rondo, who started in Cleveland’s game Friday night against the Detroit Pistons for the injured Garland, can be added to the injured list.
