The NBA game between the Portland Trail Blazers vs Miami Heat will take place at Moda Center at the Rose Quarter on Wednesday, October 26 at 10:00 PM ET.
On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 10:00 PM ET, the Portland Trail Blazers take on the Miami Heat Moda Center Rose Quarter. Early home matchups against Phoenix, Denver, Miami, and Memphis for the Portland Trail Blazers during the regular season were intimidating. With the Heat scheduled to visit Moda Center on Wednesday, the Blazers (4-0) have already defeated the Suns and the Nuggets in their first four games of the season. That is not to argue that Miami, which fell to Boston in the Eastern Conference Finals last year, is no longer a force to be reckoned with. They still have Kyle Lowry, Bam Adebayo, and Jimmy Butler. Additionally, Tyler Herro has had a great start, scoring 21 points a game on average.
However, this Miami club isn’t the same one that concluded the previous campaign with the best record in the East (53-29). The Heat will go into the game on Wednesday with an offensive rating of 27. (107.6). That’s far lower than their ranking of 10th from the previous year (114.8). The Heat’s defensive rating has decreased from seventh last season to 18th this season, although only by a statistically modest increase from 110.2 to 112.7. The offense has been the major issue, with Adebayo’s output dropping off the most. Compared to the previous season, when he scored 19.2 points per game on 55.7% shooting, which is also his lifetime average, he is scoring 13.5 points a game on 45.7% shooting this season. However, he is not the only Miami player having offensive difficulties; as a result, the club averages just 103.5 points per game as opposed to the Blazers’ 117.3. In games against offensive juggernauts Phoenix and Denver, the Blazers’ defense showed strength. Unless the Heat recovers their offensive punch from last season, Miami should pose less of a threat.
