So, the Celtics snagged a win over the Suns on the road last Saturday, 117-107. But here’s the twist: when they meet again this Thursday in Boston, the Suns are coming with some changes.

Devin Booker, the guard, sat out during the last game against Boston due to a bum ankle. But he made a comeback on Monday, scoring a solid 27 points as the Suns took down Cleveland 117-111. Booker even pitched in seven assists, leading the team, and grabbed six rebounds for good measure.

Booker, who’s been dropping an average of 27.5 points per game, messed up his ankle on March 2 against Houston. He accidentally stepped on his teammate Royce O’Neale’s ankle while they were both trying to defend against Fred VanVleet. That slip-up kept Booker out of action for four games, and the Suns managed a 2-2 record during that time. But when Booker’s on the court, the Suns have been pretty solid this season, boasting a 32-19 record.

Injury report

For the Celtics, Brown (back injury), Horford (toe injury), Porzingis (hamstring injury), and Walsh (illness) will not be playing the game. As for the Suns, Gordon (knee injury), Lee (knee injury), Little (knee injury), and Okogie (abdominal strain) will sit this one out.

Key matchups

Boston’s been facing its own share of injury problems too. Jaylen Brown’s dealing with a sacroiliac strain, Al Horford’s got a toe sprain, and Kristaps Porzingis has a hamstring strain – all three of them were sidelined during Tuesday’s 123-107 victory against Utah. Porzingis has actually missed the last three games altogether.

Against Utah, Luke Kornet, Xavier Tillman, and Oshae Brissett got some extra court time to fill in the gaps. And just to add to the mix, guard Jrue Holiday was also absent during Monday night’s 121-99 win over Portland. Tough luck for the Celtics on the injury front.

Boston, who’s been dominating with a 29-3 record at home this season, is aiming to keep the winning streak alive and stretch it to four games after a decent 3-2 run on the road. As for the Suns, they’ve been holding their own away from home with a 17-13 record.
