The Milwaukee Bucks are hoping to bounce back from a rough road trip when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers at home on Thursday night. Their trip out to California ended on a sour note with a 129-94 loss to the Kings in Sacramento on Tuesday night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the charge for the Bucks, putting up 30 points and snagging 13 rebounds. Malik Beasley and Bobby Portis chipped in with 11 points each, but Damian Lillard had a tough shooting night, only managing to score 10 points on a 2-of-12 shooting performance. Tough break for the Bucks, but they’re looking to regroup at home.

Rivers mentioned that his squad wasn’t as dialed in as they should’ve been before the game, mainly because it was the final leg of a grueling journey.

For the Bucks, Middleton is out due to an ankle injury, while Beauchamp is questionable to play the game. As for the 76ers, Covington, Embiid, and Melton will be sitting this one out.

Key matchups

Philadelphia just got smacked with another big loss, going down 106-79 in their second consecutive game in New York against the Knicks. The 76ers have only managed to score a total of 79 points in their last two games after winning a tight defensive matchup on Sunday. In Tuesday’s game, Kelly Oubre Jr. led the charge for Philadelphia with 19 points, while Tyrese Maxey chipped in with 17. Tough times for the 76ers lately.

Without Joel Embiid, Maxey has been stepping up big time for the 76ers, averaging 25.9 points and 6.2 assists per game. Tobias Harris isn’t far behind, pulling down 6.3 boards per game, while Oubre is just over a steal per game.

Unfortunately, Embiid is still sidelined with a knee issue, and both Robert Covington and De’Anthony Melton won’t be able to play on Thursday due to knee and back injuries, respectively.

Over on the Milwaukee side, Antetokounmpo is leading the charge with impressive stats across the board, averaging 30.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game. Lillard is close to dishing out seven assists per game, and Brook Lopez is a defensive force, blocking an impressive 2.6 shots per game.
