The Orlando Magic are on a roll lately! They’ve already surpassed their number of wins from last season, scoring their 35th victory of this season over the weekend. Plus, they’ve been on fire, winning three games in a row and six out of their last seven, including a massive 113-91 win against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Now, they’re gearing up for another game on Tuesday night against the Charlotte Hornets. And hey, it’s a good thing because both Charlotte and Detroit are at the bottom of the NBA rankings, so the Magic have a real chance to keep their streak going strong!

This is just the beginning of a series of three showdowns between Orlando and Charlotte over the next month. They’ll face off again on March 19 in Orlando and April 5 in Charlotte. And it’s not just that – the Magic are kicking off a three-game road trip on Tuesday, which will see them taking on the struggling Washington Wizards and the impressive New York Knicks as well. So, it’s going to be an action-packed few weeks for the Magic!

Orlando got a solid 16 points from Markelle Fultz on Sunday, and get this, he did it in just 16 minutes off the bench! It’s a bit of a change for Fultz, who used to start all 60 games he played last season. So, he’s definitely taking on a different role lately.

Key matchups

The Hornets couldn’t catch a break and lost their fourth game in a row on Sunday night against Toronto, going down 111-106. But hey, there’s a silver lining! Rookie Brandon Miller had a standout performance, scoring 26 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, marking his first double-double in his career. Pretty impressive stuff!

However, the Hornets have been dealing with a lot of injuries lately, which has been shaking up their lineup. On Sunday, both forward Cody Martin and center Nick Richards were sidelined due to injuries, along with reserve guard Seth Curry. Tough break for the team, but they’re pushing through it.

Back on November 26, the Magic took down the Hornets 130-117 at home. Cole Anthony and Franz Wagner were on fire, each scoring 30 points for Orlando, while Miles Bridges put up 23 points for Charlotte. It was quite the showdown!
