Key matchups

Brunson’s achievement of hitting the 40-point mark in 10 games this season puts him in third place in team history. Bernard King holds the top spot with 13 games of 40 points or more during the 1984-85 season, followed by Patrick Ewing with 11 such games in 1989-90.

On average, Brunson is putting up 28.4 points, 6.7 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game. He’s shooting an impressive 47.8 percent from the field.

The Celtics are fresh off a 104-91 loss to Milwaukee on Tuesday, which snapped their five-game winning streak. Boston struggled in the first half, only scoring 43 points, and trailed by 20 points at halftime.

In Tuesday’s loss, the Celtics made NBA history by being the first team to not shoot a single free throw. Despite that, they’ve still managed to win 13 consecutive home games. Following Thursday’s game, the Celtics will finish off the regular season with home matches against Charlotte and Washington.
