When it comes to their regular season face-offs, the Thunder has the upper hand with a 42-32 lead in wins, and they won two out of three meetings this season. Sunday’s game was the first-ever postseason clash between these teams, giving the Thunder a 1-0 lead in playoff history.

For New Orleans to make some noise in this series, they’ve got to step up their shooting game from what we saw in the first game. Despite being tied at the end of the first quarter and at halftime, they need to capitalize on their chances if they want to succeed.
Oklahoma City didn’t exactly light it up, considering they’re the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs. But hey, they still got the win in the first game of this series. It’s not surprising that they faced some challenges, considering the team’s young and most of the players were experiencing their first playoff game on Sunday.
Now that they’ve dealt with those initial nerves, you’d expect to see a big improvement in their game moving forward. The fact that Oklahoma City pulled off a win, even in a rough game, has got to give them a confidence boost for the rest of this series and maybe even beyond.
