The Warriors are set to kick off another chapter of their regular season miniseries by hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday at 7 p.m. Hold on tight because these two squads will go head-to-head again at Chase Center on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. As part of West Group C, the Warriors and Thunder previously clashed in the opening round of the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament, where the Dubs emerged victorious with a 141-139 win, sealed by Stephen Curry’s game-winning layup.

San Francisco will remain the hosting hub for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation until Monday, Nov. 20, leading to road closures, detours, and adjustments in transit services. If you’re heading to the game, it’s strongly advised to hit the road early and meticulously plan your journey in advance.

Key matchups

In the absence of Stephen Curry (right knee soreness), Klay Thompson (ejected), and Draymond Green (ejected), the Warriors faced a setback, succumbing to the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-101 on Tuesday at Chase Center. This matchup marked the Warriors’ second game in the In-Season Tournament and their first at Chase Center, leaving them with a 1-1 record in group play. The Dubs have now faced four consecutive losses, including a challenging 0-3 start to the homestand, bringing their overall record to 6-6.

Brandin Podziemski, with an impressive 23 points, and Dario Saric, contributing 21 points, held the team steady as they achieved the distinction of being the first Warriors duo to each score more than 20 points this season.

Dario Saric showcased his scoring prowess by hitting a season-high 21 points in Tuesday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Interestingly, his top two scoring performances this season unfolded during the In-Season Tournament, where he notched 20 points in just 19 minutes against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Nov. 3. Notably, Saric has managed to sink six field goals in three separate games this season.

The Thunder stand out as one of the league’s most potent offensive forces, securing a sixth-place spot in points per game (116.5 PPG), an impressive third in field goal percentage (49.2 FG%), and a notable fifth in 3-point percentage (37.6 3PT%).

In Tuesday’s In-Season Tournament game, Brandin Podziemski showcased his court presence, clocking in 38 minutes and boasting a plus-11 rating. Remarkably, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green collectively spent less than five minutes on the court during the matchup.
