The Boston Celtics have a chance to keep their six-game winning streak alive as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks at home on Wednesday night.

Boston (54-14) holds the best record in the NBA with just 14 regular-season games left. Despite missing their top scorer Jayson Tatum (27.1 ppg), as well as Al Horford and Jrue Holiday, the Celtics extended their home winning streak to nine games by defeating the Detroit Pistons 119-94 on Monday night.

During the win against Detroit, point guard Derrick White achieved his first triple-double in the NBA, wrapping up the game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Kristaps Porzingis sat out Boston’s last five games due to a tight hamstring but made a comeback on Monday, scoring 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Porzingis mentioned that he’s focused on keeping his body in top shape for the playoffs.

Injury report

For the Celtics, Holiday (shoulder injury) and Horford (rest) will not be playing the game. Besides, Hauser (ankle injury) could also miss the game. As for the Bucks, Antetokounmpo (hamstring injury) and Beauchamp (back injury) could sit this one out.

Key matchups

Even though Giannis Antetokounmpo was out, Milwaukee (44-24) managed to sink 24 3-pointers and secure a 140-129 home win against Phoenix on Sunday. They even tied an NBA record by hitting 18 3-pointers in the first half alone. Antetokounmpo, who averages 30.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, was sidelined due to left hamstring soreness.

In the win, Milwaukee’s Damian Lillard racked up 31 points and 16 assists, marking the first time in franchise history that a player achieved at least 30 points and 15 assists in a single game. Additionally, Khris Middleton contributed 22 points in his return to the court after missing 16 games due to a sprained ankle. Middleton played for 25 minutes and also dished out seven assists.

Wednesday’s matchup will be the third encounter between the Bucks and Celtics this season. Boston secured a 119-116 victory at home on Nov. 22, while Milwaukee dominated with a 135-102 home win on Jan. 11.
