The Phoenix Suns have won five games in a row and four consecutive games away from home. They’ll try to keep both winning streaks going on Friday when they start a three-game trip against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies have lost all six of their home games this season.

The game on Friday is in the NBA in-season tournament. Phoenix has won two out of three games in West Group A and is still in the running for a wild-card spot in the knockout rounds. On the other hand, Memphis has lost all three of their games and is already out of the tournament.

Kevin Durant is still playing a big role for Phoenix. In their recent 123-115 win against the Golden State Warriors, the 13-time All-Star and four-time scoring champion scored an impressive 32 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Key matchups

Durant has managed to score 30 or more points in the past five games for his team. His shooting percentages for the season are noteworthy, with 53.3 percent from the floor and 52.2 percent from 3-point range. Despite these impressive stats, Durant wasn’t too happy seeing the Suns almost lose a 23-point lead in the second half on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies might not be feeling very confident after losing for the fifth time in seven games, with a 111-91 defeat to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. The Rockets started the fourth quarter with a six-point lead and extended it further with a 10-2 run.

Bane takes the lead in key team statistics, averaging 25.6 points and logging 34.1 minutes per game, while Jackson contributes with 20.0 points and 31.1 minutes on the court.

Memphis aims to elevate their game on Friday in the initial matchup of the season between the teams. In the previous 2022-23 season, the teams divided the series, each winning two games.
