The Philadelphia 76ers are taking on the Memphis Grizzlies at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night. The Grizzlies have had a rough time this year and really need to step it up in the final few months if they want to make a playoff push.

The 76ers are sitting pretty in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, which is a relief considering all the injuries they’ve had to deal with this season. It’s been a while since they faced off against the Grizzlies, not since last season when they each won their home game, splitting the series.

This game could really swing in either direction and might end up being one of the most interesting matchups of Wednesday’s games. The Grizzlies finally broke their losing streak by snagging a win against Brooklyn in their last game, after dropping five in a row.

After a bit of a rough patch following the All-Star break, the 76ers are starting to find their groove again and get back to winning.

Key matchups

The season’s wrapping up fast, and for Memphis to even think about playoffs, they’ve gotta start stacking up some wins. Surprisingly, they’ve been doing better on the road than at home, almost hitting that .500 mark. Pulling off an upset against the 76ers could really boost their momentum and confidence heading in the right direction.

The Grizzlies have been dealing with a bunch of injuries lately, so it’s no wonder they’ve been having a tough time this season.

The 76ers are on a two-game winning streak coming into this one, and returning to the Wells Fargo Center where they’ve got a solid 19-13 record, they’ve gotta be feeling good. But they’re definitely keeping an eye on their injury situation, especially with back-to-back road games against New York on the horizon. This is their sixth home game out of eight, so having that consistency should really help them out in this matchup.

Our three-point defense has been crucial this season, and it’s gonna come in handy in this game, especially since Memphis seems to rely heavily on their three-point shooting. If our defense can keep it up, we shouldn’t have to worry too much about any offensive struggles creeping up at home.
