The Los Angeles Lakers continued their return to form with a comfortable 128-109 win over the Portland Trail Blazers to make it six wins from their last eight games. LeBron James top scored with 31 points as Darwin Ham’s Crypto.com Arena side seeks to push their way up the Western Conference after a shocking start to the season.

The series of strong results may well lead to fans of the Lakers considering placing a bet on their team making it to the post-season and beyond, and with that in mind, a visit to the best sports betting odds comparison site will help you make the most from your wager.

The Lakers are currently a massive (+10000) to clinch the NBA title, which would secure you a healthy payout, and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility, especially as James, who has been carrying the team for far too long, is now getting able support from an in-form Anthony Davis.

Davis has struggled with form and injuries, but when he is at his best, he is next to unstoppable, a fact that James is more than aware of;

“I think he was just himself in the fourth quarter,”

“(Tuesday) was a tough day for us, coming off that loss, but we had a lot of conversations about how we could be better, especially in the fourth quarter, and AD is a big part of that. … He’s too big-time for our team not to have the ball in his hands.”

LeBron was in fine form himself against the Trail Blazers, hitting six three-pointers and firing in 12 from 18 from the field.

“One thing about Bron, he holds himself accountable,”

“He’s trending individually in the right direction, and that’s key. It’s imperative.” Ham commented.

It’s not impossible for the Lakers to get into the post-season, and the NBA season is a long one, but they’ll have to continue their current streak in order to stand a chance.

It’s hard to fathom quite how low the Los Angeles Lakers have fallen since winning the NBA title back in 2019-20. Under Frank Vogel, they finished the regular season with a superb 52-19 record and then demolished Portland, Houston, and Denver to then meet the Miami Heat in the Finals series and won in six games, LeBron James top-scoring in five of those games. The following year they were dumped out of the first round of the play offs by the Phoenix Suns, and then last season, they could only manage a 33-49 record, and it cost Vogel his job, and Ham has the tough task of getting the Lakers back on track and has struggled to do so thus far.
