Veteran commentator and NBA analyst Skip Bayless took a shot at LeBron James after his Lakers team lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday. Frank Vogel’s side were outclassed 104-124 by Chris Finch’s men and the way they lost the game had everyone talking on social media.

An often outspoken critic of LeBron James, Skip Bayless took to Twitter to ask if people still really believed whether James was the greatest after he had an underwhelming night where he only scored 19 points and had a team-high in turnovers.

He tweeted: “And some people seriously believe LeBron James is the GOAT???”

It was the third straight loss for the Lakers and their ninth defeat since the All-Star break.

Their dismal run over the last month prompted Bayless to tweet before the earlier tweet, where he said, “Incomprehensibly bad: LeBron’s Fakers have lost 16 of 21 to fall 11 games under .500. Games are over in the 1st q. 2-9 since the break – LeBron leads NBA in turnovers over those 11. He was 1-8 from 3 tonight, 5 more turnovers. Lakers were preseason favorites to win it all!”

LeBron has it all to do

Indeed, after the Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook in the off-season, everyone thought that this would the emergence of a new big 3 in the Western Conference with LeBron, Anthony Davis and Westbrook but a mixture of bad tactics and having a lopsided squad have reduced the purple and gold into a very mediocre team. Unless something drastically changes both on the court and off it, its difficult to see the Lakers make anything of this season. They only have 13 more games to play this season with their next two versus the Raptors and the Wizards on back to back nights.
