LeBron James’ LA Lakers will take on Chris Paul’s Phoenix Suns at the T-Mobile Arena for an NBA preseason game on Wednesday. The Lakers lost their first preseason game 105-75 to the Sacramento Kings and that should not be much of a concern. The whole team got a run out and everyone chipped in with points of their own. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook both played for over 15 minutes and did not have much to show for it.
The best news for the Lakers will be the return of Anthony Davis. Davis played 16 minutes and scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds in what was an impressive performance back from injury. AD was 2 of 4 from the three point line and locked in on defense during his time on the court and he had 11 rebounds to show for that.
On the other hand, the Phoenix Suns had a stinker of a game against the Adelaide 36ers as they lost the game 134-124. The starting lineup of the Suns played 22 minutes each with Cameron Payne scoring 23 points while Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges dropped 22 each. Veteran Chris Paul did not have a good game as he only managed to scores six point although he was good in the other department as he dished out 12 assists.
Phoenix coach Monty Williams said after the game, “Just didn’t give them the respect that they deserve as a pro team. It’s a great opportunity for us to learn. I thought we didn’t do a good job of reading the game. Once they made a few of them in the first quarter I didn’t think we had awareness that these guys would keep making shots.”
After making his comeback in the preseason opener against the Kings, Anthony Davis is scheduled to play in this game.

Chris Paul had a game to forget against the Adelaide 36ers but he still managed to give 12 assists. He will no doubt want to make amends after that performance and he will start the game against the Lakers.
